Let me share my journey with you. I’ve been immersed in IT for almost two decades, all thanks to a very funny mistake made by my dad. When I was 9, I asked him for a PC with 3D games, which was quite expensive at the time. Unfortunately, my dad wasn’t tech-savvy and ended up buying a PC that only had a terminal without any user interface, not to mention games. All i could was green background and white letters as I typed.
We didn’t speak or read English back then, but we managed to find a book in the library about Basic programming language. After reading it, I wrote my first line of code that drew a triangle. It felt like magic, and from that moment, I was hooked on IT and technology, alongside my other passions for football and music.
Years later, I started college just as PayPal opened up to Serbia in late 2008. Realizing I could learn and earn online, I quit college. Best decision ever. My first job was as a Java Developer, where I later got attracted to web technologies and moved to a new company with the small team that where 3 of us grew our company to 250 people. It was then that I discovered my current DevOps passion, which presented a more significant challenge to me.
Now, eight years later, I am a DevOps Engineer, constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities.
